Kirstin Burckhardt - Artist
2017 (b. in South Africa) is an installation artist working with sound, film and drawings. She studied fine arts at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste (HFBK) in Hamburg, at the China Academy of Art Hangzhou (CAA), and the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Lyon (ENSBA). She earned her MFA at the HFBK, as well as her BSc and MSc in psychology at the University of Hamburg. Her work has been honored by the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes (2008–2015), by her admission to the postgraduate program ‘Goldrausch’ in Berlin (2016) and most recently by the city of Hamburg’s working grant (2017).
