El Movimiento Cultural es creador, promotor y amplificador de procesos artísticos, culturales y de patrimonio en el territorio de Santa Elena. Nuestra intención es generar, canalizar y apoyar procesos, de modo que la identidad territorial de este espacio que amamos y habitamos se base en una práctica cultural vital y dinámica, consciente de sus raíces y tradiciones e impulsora de sus procesos culturales en gestación. Nos interesa crear y fortalecer vínculos entre el patrimonio cultural y natural vigente y las nuevas generaciones y sus inquietudes. Con nuestra propuesta comunitaria queremos responder a las consecuencias de los cambios económicos, sociales y culturales a los que se enfrenta esta región, haciendo de Santa Elena un punto de referencia de consciencia patrimonial cultural y natural, así como de creación y experimentación artística. Un lugar con vitalidad cultural propia y diversa, en íntima relación con el medio ambiente.

El Movimiento Cultural Santa Elena Is a group of interests founded in 2014 that creates, promotes and amplifies artistic, cultural and processes around cultural heritage in the territory of Santa Elena. Our intention is to generate, channel and support actions so that the territorial identity of this space that we love and inhabit is based on a vital and dynamic cultural practice, aware of its roots and traditions and promoter of its cultural processes in gestation. We are interested in creating and strengthening links between the current cultural and natural heritage and the new generations and their concerns. With our community proposal we want to respond to the consequences of the economic, social and cultural changes that this region is facing, making Santa Elena a point of reference for cultural and natural heritage awareness, as well as for artistic creation and experimentation. A place with its own cultural vitality and diversity, in intimate relationship with memories and the environment.

Desde el 2016 promovemos este proceso que busca generar experiencias que tematizan desde el conocimiento académico y empírico los múltiples aspectos de relevancia patrimonial en el territorio, buscando metodológicamente acercar a los públicos de una manera práctica y vivencial. Nos interesa experimentar y reflexionar los diferentes momentos patrimoniales del territorio desde la subjetividad de cada participante, sus prácticas cotidianas y sus intereses específicos, proponiendo así una relación de mutuo enriquecimiento entre las memorias, la historia y las formas actuales de ser y hacer en el territorio. Partimos de una metodología que propone la exploración artística, el aprendizaje de oficios ancestrales y la implementación de la tecnología como vehículos para generar un lazo vital y emotivo hacia las memorias culturales de los jóvenes y adultos del territorio.
¿Cómo vincular y crear sinergias entre la riqueza patrimonial de Santa Elena y los intereses y necesidades de la población joven? ¿Cómo estrechar lazos entre la tradición de la cual los jóvenes y sus familias provienen, con una práctica cultural vital, dinámica y consciente de su potencial y diversidad?

El VII Foro Juvenil de Patrimonio lleva por título La Fiesta de las Memorias y pretendió conjugar en un solo evento actividades culturales y artísticas que ayuden a visibilizar las tres declaratoria patrimoniales que detenta el territorio (Reserva Forestal Protectora del Río Nare, Polígono Arqueológico, Manifestación Cultural Silletera). Es así que se propuso un taller de fabricación de un objeto arqueológico de barro como vehículo para hablar de la importancia del patrimonio arqueológico, una charla académica informal sobre la multidimensionalidad del patrimonio natural en Santa Elena y una actividad de intercambio intergeneracional con Silleteras y Silleteros para acercarnos de forma más íntima a las memorias en torno a la Manifestación Cultural Silletera partiendo de la memoria oral de algunxs de sus portadores y portadoras. Cerramos el evento con una muestra de Break Dance por parte de un colectivo con más de 20 años de trayectoria en el territorio y un concierto de rap para el cuál abrimos una convocatoria, buscando integrar jóvenes talentos, así como los artistas consagrados activos en el territorio.

CUESTA ARRIBA Es una ruta para caminantes que busca ofrecer una perspectiva sensible, lúdica y esclarecedora sobre el territorio y sus memorias, orientando la oferta hacia la población del Territorio Cultural de Santa Elena, especialmente su población juvenil. Esta ruta patrimonial que queremos consolidar no está pensada en primera instancia como ruta turística, sino como una estrategia de reapropiación y una forma de re-conocernos como vecinas y vecinos que somos. Creemos que el sentido de PERTENENCIA es el único antídoto ante la presión urbanística y la gentrificación. |

Because of the global situation around the pandemic, this year's Forro became a retrospective of our activities during the past years: Four years of walking, listening, looking and enjoying our territory! We shared a selection of images, videos, soundscapes and podcasts and asked our audience to answear a questionnaire based on those materials in order to win a game about the memories and heritages of Santa Elena.
